Take Action: Food Insecurity Awareness Day at the State House

  • When: Thursday, January 30, 3:30pm

  • Where: Rhode Island State House Library, 82 Smith Street, Providence, RI 02903

  • From the Rhode Island Community Food Bank: “Last week, the State shared its draft budget, which would cut the Food Bank's funding from $800,000 to $550,000. This cut represents $250,000 less food for Rhode Islanders already struggling — a cut our neighbors simply can't afford. But it’s not too late. Join us at the State House on Thursday, January 30th, for Food Insecurity Awareness Day and stand up for our neighbors. We're concerned about the impact changes like this and potential federal cuts will have on low-income Rhode Islanders and hope you'll join us in making our voices heard.”
